Fjallsárlón glacier lagoon is a stunning body of water that is filled with huge icebergs that break off from the nearby Vatnajökull glacier. Though not as well known as Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon, Fjallsárlón is just as beautiful. What’s more, it can be a good place to visit because it is less crowded.
Visitors are even able to take boat tours of the lagoon and get up close to the majestic icebergs. If you are lucky, you might even spot a seal – many seals live in the lagoon. A day trip to Fjallsárlón is a wonderful option for guests at Hotel Rangá.
